What we do
JLMAG supplies an extensive range of magnetic materials for virtually any magnetic application. All our materials are manufactured to the highest quality standards with uniform properties and very low variation. We supply the world with high performance Neodymium (NdFeB) Magnets and Magnetic Assemblies.
Grain Boundary Diffusion Technology (GBD)
JLMAG has the largest operational GBD capacity in the world. In this technology, heavy rare earth (Dy or Tb) is applied to the surface of the magnets. After diffusion at high temperature these elements will penetrate the magnet’s grain boundaries to increase the magnet coercivity.
JLMAG ensures very tight composition- and microstructure consistency control. It houses a state-of-the-art machining department with acces to highly accurate technologies as multi-wire cutting and bi-face accuracy grinding. It features an in-company surface treatment plant, which delivers automotive level environmental endurance. All of the above ensures JLMAG produces the highest quality available.
Quality Control
Quality Control is of the outmost importance at JLMAG. That is why our quality department has acces to the best measurement equipement that is available in the market. Besides CMM machines to measure Geometric tolerances, JLMAG has equipment like a Scanning Electron Microscope or Spectrometer at its disposal. This equipments allows JLMAG to also prove to its customers that they can deliver that highest quality available, time and time again.
Assembly
Magnetic assemblies usually are metal carriers to which magnets are bonded. Producing high-end magnetic systems is a very delicate operation. Handling permanent magnets and positioning the magnets onto the carriers with tight tolerances, repeatedly, is our specialty.
In our Technology center in The Netherlands we produce high quality prototypes and small series. Together with the customer our engineering team will design the magnetic system. For the design we use 3D modeling software Solidworks. The specialized tools for assembling our magnetic systems are developed and produced in-house. Once the product can go into serial production it will be transfered to our production facility in China. For the transfer we use a copy exactly strategy. The transfer will be done under supervision of our engineering and quality team. Thanks to our capabilities to design and produce assembly tools, our well trained and experienced technicians produce prototypes and small series with short lead times and high precision.
Supply Chain Services
As part of our customer team set-up our supply chain department has a partner approach as well. Together with our customer we can find the optimal solution to meet your logistical needs.
As we have our own warehouse in Europe with complete region coverage, we are very able to cope with flexible demands. If required we can keep safety stock, work according consignment stock method, call-offs, etc. Our employees have an excellent understanding of logistical processes in a wide range of industries. We take care of the complete supply chain.
